Almost 90% of US banking customers are satisfied with their banks

The news: A Morning Consult survey of 4,475 US consumers confirmed that banks have achieved widespread customer satisfaction. A recent J.D. Power survey also confirmed this, but from a different perspective.

What drove customer satisfaction? The Morning Consult survey revealed that 89% of US banking customers report being satisfied or very satisfied with their primary bank. An even larger majority (93%) give positive ratings to their bank’s customer service. That’s because:

  • 80% of respondents feel their banks are transparent about fees.
