The situation: TikTok Shop’s US business will face more oversight from parent company ByteDance’s global leadership following a recent reorg, Business Insider reported.

  • Nico Le Bourgeois, head of US Shop operations, will now report to Mu Qing, a former ecommerce vice president at Douyin who now oversees TikTok’s global ecommerce business.
  • He previously reported directly to Bob Kang, ByteDance’s ecommerce head.
