Ingenico becomes latest payments player to dive into crypto

The news: Ingenico and Crypto.com will pilot a solution that lets merchants accept crypto payments at the point-of-sale (POS), per a press release. 

  • Consumers who pay with Crypto.com Pay will earn rewards on their transactions through the crypto platform. 
  • Merchants will receive funds settled in their local currency. 

This capability will come to select partners in Q1 2025 before rolling out in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and other countries across Europe and Asia.
