LinkedIn expands video features for creators as it moves past its professional identity

The news: LinkedIn is capitalizing on users’ interest in video content as it incorporates more social media features into its platform.

The Microsoft-owned platform is adding vertical video display for mobile users, more video content in search results, and a video carousel alongside links.
It’s also developing an analytics tool to track average watch times for content, which could help cross-platform creators tailor their content to LinkedIn’s audience and differentiate its videos from TikTok or Reels.
