The news: Lloyds now offers in-app accommodation and flight booking powered by Hopper’s AI platform, per a press release. 

The bank will also offer a best price guarantee, price prediction services, and price drop protection for flight bookings.

Why it matters: Lloyds’ in-app travel booking rollout is a first for UK banks. However, travel features are becoming a staple consumer expectation for their banks. U.S. Bank, Citi, Capital One, and American Express all already boast travel platforms, and crypto fintech Wirex recently launched Wirex Travel.
