The news: Both US doctors’ use of AI and their enthusiasm for the tech increased in 2024, according to a recently published American Medical Association (AMA) survey. The AMA polled 1,183 primary care physicians and specialists in November 2024. Findings were compared with the AMA’s prior-year survey results.

66% of physicians surveyed in 2024 said they use AI in practice.
That’s far higher than the 38% of clinicians who used AI in 2023.
