The news: Pinterest plans to implement broader labeling of AI-generated content on the platform in response to users’ ongoing frustration with an influx of fake images.

Pinterest claimed that it has “been building labeling of AI-generated or modified content to provide relevant context to users about what they see on Pinterest,” and will “continue to expand these labels in the coming months,” per Futurism.
A Pinterest spokesperson told EMARKETER that “impressions on generative AI content make up a small percentage of the total impressions on Pinterest.”
