The insight: Retail wait times are rising, fueling customer frustration and creating significant opportunities for ecommerce levels.

  • Wait times in 2024 were 22% higher YoY, and 61% longer compared with 2022, per a Waitwhile survey.
  • At the same time, consumers’ frustrations are growing: The number who reported being annoyed when waiting in line jumped 126% YoY, making life more difficult for already-stretched retail workers.
