US ecommerce sales rose 6.8% in the final two months of 2025

The news: US consumers spent $257.8 billion online during the final two months of 2025, a 6.8% gain YoY, per Adobe Analytics. That fell just short of our forecast of 7.0% growth.

Key trends:

  • Mobile devices continued to gain share. Mobile shopping accounted for 56.4% of online transactions, up from 54.5% last year and just shy of the 56.5% that we expected.
