The news: Walmart will host its Walmart Holiday Deals event from October 8-13. The retailer is kicking off the sale a day earlier than last year, and extending its length by two days.

• Walmart is repeating its July Walmart Deals strategy by offering Walmart+ members exclusive early access to promotions starting at midnight—12 hours before the public sale (during the summer Walmart+ members gained access five hours ahead of other shoppers).
• Unlike last year, when Walmart’s October event was online only, this year it is expanding the sale to its stores on October 9.
